This is an extremely pretty acrostic 'DEAREST' ring. Crafted in a strong, 9ct Gold, it features 7 gemstones, comprising a diamond, 2 emeralds, an amethyst, ruby, sapphire and a tourmaline. The first letter of each precious gemstone spells out the word, 'DEAREST'.
This very romantic vintage ring would have been a sentimental gift given to to a loved one as a token of affection, and to demonstrate that the giver held them as their 'dearest'. It is marked for 9ct Gold and London. It also carries its makers mark CG. I cant make out the date letter, but given its design, I would date it to the 1960's.
This 'dearest' ring is in fabulous condition, with only some age expected related wear to the gemstones as would be expected with a ring of this age. It is currently a UK ring size N, which is a US size 6 1/2. It is re-sizable by your local jeweller, and it weighs 1.9g
